Family is everywhere!
So right now, I am sitting in the lobby of the Grand Hotel in Vung Tao, a beach town in Vietnam. I am here as a videographer to a charity golf tournament for the Vietnam Society of Petroleum Engineers. And my mom was worried that my film degree wouldn't get me anywhere...
Currently, I am waiting for their auction to be over so that I can play around with the HD camera that my friend, Teddy, loaned to his friend, Vien, who met me yesterday and hired me for an all-expenses-paid trip to video Sat.'s golfers.
At the reception, I ran into my aunt Mai's older brother, Sonny (Co Mai is married to my biological uncle, so technically, her brother is not related to me, but he is family). Still remembering me, he told me about how my cousin, Lien (more specifically, my grandmother's niece), had called him looking for me, but he didn't know how to find me, either (it's okay, I found her). Apparently, the man who hired me, Vien, is his cousin. Oh, and Vien went to UT, too.
It's like being in the mafia....without all the scary assasinations. And crime.
